How much I have learned since the birth of Moonshine Soap Company has become apparent to me, as I close my eyes and drink in the familiar fragrance of spring time in the air. The gentle breeze reminds me of how swiftly this journey has taken place throughout the seasons and I am grateful. As we emerge from winters slumber, peeling back the layers of another year, spring offers a fresh renewal. An awareness of my own growth is apparent and I realize the change is a subtle shift in my perspective.

A Natural Step for All of Us

In 2004, I nurtured my soap company by forging relationships with suppliers of raw materials, so that I could be sure of the pureness of the natural ingredients we utilize in our soaps. I built relationships with incredible people who are running there own small businesses and I felt fulfilled by the full circle that met my company’s needs, while supporting others like myself. I realized a job well done and almost considered it complete when the shift happened.

Creating an all natural bar of soap for my customers seemed a mission satisfied until I really considered the impact I could make. What if I could take this ambition a step further and support the organic market as well? Our household already maintains this idea, as we consume organic products. Perhaps we could make a more substantial impact by using certified organic vegetable oils and herbs in our soaps. This would allow us to participate in sustaining organic farming, while supporting companies that provide the organic ingredients we need. We would also provide our customers with a healthier product for their skin, while helping to protect our environment. This natural transformation just makes sense.

Our Commitment

As I continue to educate myself about the influence we all have on our planet, I have come to realize that taking responsibility is the key to truly respecting our environment. We at Moonshine Soap Company are proud to announce our shift in perspective as we begin our transition to the use of certified organic base oils and botanicals in all of our products. As we continue to work with the suppliers we love, we are thrilled to have secured a reliable supply of certified organic base oils and herbs. As always we will continue to utilize essential oils that have been analyzed to insure no trace of pesticides, herbicides, adulteration or contamination. Our company has joined the “Organic Trade Association” in order to support their mission to encourage global sustainability through promoting and protecting the growth of diverse organic trade. We have also signed the “Compact for Global Production of Safer Health and Beauty Products”. By signing this pledge, Moonshine Soap has joined a growing list of companies working for safer products and smarter laws that protect our health and our families from toxic chemicals.

Since the conception of Moonshine Soap Company, it has been my heartfelt desire to touch people with my products. As my company grows, I am blessed to have the opportunity to reach out to many with these products, sharing my knowledge of aromatherapy and skin care, while honoring the cycles of life, as well as the seasons that captivate us. Supporting the organic farming community is a full circle endeavor and if we all participate it will become as natural as the coming of the seasons. Won’t you join us in this effort?
