March 2007
MSNBC featured Appalachian Community Enterprises on March 18. Hosted by JJ Ramberg, "Your Business" focuses on the world of America's small business entrepreneurs, featuring profiles, news, advice and tips.
See how Terri Barko and Lisa Davies, two single mothers living on public assistance in suburban Atlanta, were able to qualify for a micro-loan from Appalachian Community Enterprises and launch a successful maid service. Now working independently, these women are part of a growing sector of entrepreneurs who have used micro-loans to grow their businesses.
Working on a segment for MSNBC's "Your Business" Program, MSNBC television producer, Frank Silverstein and his crew spent two days with Appalachian Community Enterprises and some of their clients.
They filmed on location in the Southern Appalchians and visited our Women's Prosperity Network Meeting to gain insight into the services ACE facilitates.
