I suppose you can say I have been blessed in a small way...I’ve never had a lot of acne and my breakouts have never been very severe. Up until about a year ago, I never dealt with oily or dry skin very often; so I didn’t use any brand of soap in particular to cleanse my face. However, as I got older, my skin began to go through cycles.
I would have terribly oily and acne-prone stages where I would desperately try to get rid of my acne and put on as much makeup as possible to cover it up. As a result, my skin would then become dry, tight, and had a mask-like appearance. I didn’t know what products would work, and what wouldn’t, or how I should choose what product to use.
My sister and I started using (a popular acne treatment), which fights acne very well. Though it would keep breakouts and oily skin away, my skin became very dry and flaky. I would stop using it for a while, and then the process would start all over again. I’m sure teens around the world deal with these frustrations, and it affected not only my appearance, but my self-confidence as well.
And then I came upon Mrs. Ellie Trinowski and her Moonshine Soap Company. She asked me some questions about my skin, and sent me two different soaps to use: Enchanted Earth and Lavender Lunacy. I opened the box and was immediately enveloped in the refreshing scent of her soaps. That did it for me!
At first I used both (my current acne treatment) and the Lavender Lunacy, but they reacted against each other, leaving me feeling like I had bad sunburn. So I just used the Lavender soap, and I’m so glad I did!
It does a little bit of everything for my face: it leaves my skin soft and smooth, lightly moisturized but not oily, and it doesn’t dry me out either. And everyone tells me that I smell wonderful! I also use it in the shower for all-over skin refreshment.
I still have breakouts every now and then, but that’s a part of being a teenager, and I suppose you can’t always avoid it.
All together I’m a magnificent fan of Moonshine Soaps, and I would recommend them to anyone.
I love you Mrs. Ellie, thank you so much!
